Product Care Information
Cast Iron Chimeneas and BBQs
All models are traditionally sand cast in solid cast iron; including the flues- no weaker rolled steel is used. Simple assembly is required and spare parts are available on request. By nature, cast iron will surface rust over time which is cosmetic only and will not affect the function of the chimenea. To inhibit rusting, rub the chimenea with an oily rag after each use and repaint when necessary using a high temperature BBQ or stove paints. Intense or very regular burning will increase the rate of rusting.

Clay Chimeneas[/b][/u]
Made to high standards, from a mix of refined clays by artisans with generations of experience. The textured paint finish is applied by hand so a variation in colour density will occur between each piece. After firing, the paint will gradually age. Over-firing will burn off the paint completely and may crack the chimenea. La Hacienda chimeneas have been water sealed but to prolong their life, treat the outer surface with chimseal every few months and use a chimenea cover. They are frost resistant if cared for correctly as detailed in the care leaflet provided.
